On the eighth day he is to bring ¹  two turtledoves or two young pigeons to the priest, to the entrance to the tent of meeting.

and he gave four carts and eight oxen to the Merarites, as their service required, under the authority ¹  of Ithamar son of Aaron the priest.

And the priest must make atonement for the person who sins unintentionally – when he sins unintentionally before the Lord – to make atonement for him, and he will be forgiven.

You must give it to Eleazar the priest so that he can take it outside the camp, and it must be slaughtered before him. ¹

So Moses and Eleazar the priest spoke with them in the plains of Moab, by the Jordan River ¹  across from Jericho. ²  They said,

So Moses gave the tribute, which was the Lord’s raised offering, to Eleazar the priest, as the Lord commanded Moses.

the Gadites and the Reubenites came and addressed Moses, Eleazar the priest, and the leaders of the community. They said,

“These are the names of the men who are to allocate the land to you as an inheritance: ¹  Eleazar the priest and Joshua son of Nun.

The priest will then take the basket from you ¹  and set it before the altar of the Lord your God.

So to the descendants of Aaron the priest they assigned Hebron (a city of refuge for one who committed manslaughter), Libnah,

Now this man Micah owned a shrine. ¹  He made an ephod ²  and some personal idols and hired one of his sons to serve as a priest. ³ 

Micah said, “Now I know God will make me rich, ¹  because I have this Levite as my priest.”

He told them what Micah had done for him, saying, ¹  “He hired me and I became his priest.”

The priest was happy. He took the ephod, the personal idols, and the carved image and joined the group. ¹ 

Then Elkanah went back home to Ramah. But the boy was serving the Lord under the supervision of ¹  Eli the priest.
