Be amazed at this, O heavens! ¹  Be shocked and utterly dumbfounded,” says the Lord.

Moab, you are doomed! ¹  You people who worship Chemosh will be destroyed. Your sons will be taken away captive. Your daughters will be carried away into exile. ² 

You will be overcome by ¹  drunkenness and sorrow. The cup of your sister Samaria is a cup of horror and desolation.

Now the coastlands will tremble on the day of your fall; the coastlands by the sea will be terrified by your passing.’ ¹
