Wild animals and wild dogs will congregate there; ¹  wild goats will bleat to one another. ²  Yes, nocturnal animals ³  will rest there and make for themselves a nest. ⁴ 

“I thought, ¹  ‘In the middle of my life ²  I must walk through the gates of Sheol, I am deprived ³  of the rest of my years.’

The Lord is about to deliver me, ¹  and we will celebrate with music ²  for the rest of our lives in the Lord’s temple.” ³ 

I have seen their behavior, ¹  but I will heal them and give them rest, and I will once again console those who mourn. ²

Therefore we must be wary ¹  that, while the promise of entering his rest remains open, none of you may seem to have come short of it.

For the one who enters God’s ¹  rest has also rested from his works, just as God did from his own works.
