Then ¹  Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death – the lake of fire.

The nations ¹  will walk by its light and the kings of the earth will bring their grandeur ²  into it.

But whenever you pray, go into your room, ¹  close the door, and pray to your Father in secret. And your Father, who sees in secret, will reward you. ² 

“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ ¹  will enter into the kingdom of heaven – only the one who does the will of my Father in heaven.

but the sons of the kingdom will be thrown out into the outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.” ¹ 

And such a large crowd gathered around him that he got into a boat to sit while ¹  the whole crowd stood on the shore.

Then he left the crowds and went into the house. And his disciples came to him saying, “Explain to us the parable of the weeds in the field.”

“Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a net that was cast into the sea that caught all kinds of fish.

When it was full, they pulled it ashore, sat down, and put the good fish into containers and threw the bad away.

Immediately Jesus ¹  made the disciples get into the boat and go ahead of him to the other side, while he dispersed the crowds.

When the people ¹  there recognized him, they sent word into all the surrounding area, and they brought all their sick to him.

What defiles a person is not what goes into the mouth; it is what ¹  comes out of the mouth that defiles a person.”

Leave them! They are blind guides. ¹  If someone who is blind leads another who is blind, ²  both will fall into a pit.”

When ¹  they gathered together in Galilee, Jesus told them, “The Son of Man is going to be betrayed into the hands of men. ² 

And he said to them, “It is written, ‘My house will be called a house of prayer,’ ¹  but you are turning it into a den ²  of robbers!” ³ 

And those slaves went out into the streets and gathered all they found, both bad and good, and the wedding hall was filled with guests.

“Then he will say ¹  to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you accursed, into the eternal fire that has been prepared for the devil and his angels!

and said, “What will you give me to betray him into your hands?” ¹  So they set out thirty silver coins for him.

The ¹  chief priests took the silver and said, “It is not lawful to put this into the temple treasury, since it is blood money.”

Then the governor’s soldiers took Jesus into the governor’s residence ¹  and gathered the whole cohort ²  around him.
