But we have rejected ¹  shameful hidden deeds, ²  not behaving ³  with deceptiveness ⁴  or distorting the word of God, but by open proclamation of the truth we commend ourselves to everyone’s conscience before God.

holding to the mystery of the faith ¹  with a clear conscience.

or when he touches human uncleanness with regard to anything by which he can become unclean, ¹  even if he did not realize it, but he himself has later come to know it and is guilty;

Riding on her donkey, she went down under cover of the mountain. David and his men were coming down to meet her, and she encountered them.

The sovereign master ¹  will give you distress to eat and suffering to drink; ²  but your teachers will no longer be hidden; your eyes will see them. ³ 

I commission you ¹  as my spokesman; ²  I cover you with the palm of my hand, ³  to establish ⁴  the sky and to found the earth, to say to Zion, ‘You are my people.’” ⁵ 

“No one after lighting a lamp puts it in a hidden place ¹  or under a basket, ²  but on a lampstand, so that those who come in can see the light.

While you have the light, believe in the light, so that you may become sons of light.” ¹  When Jesus had said these things, he went away and hid himself from them.

These men are ¹  dangerous reefs ²  at your love feasts, ³  feasting without reverence, ⁴  feeding only themselves. ⁵  They are ⁶  waterless ⁷  clouds, carried along by the winds; autumn trees without fruit ⁸  – twice dead, ⁹  uprooted;

“But these things ¹  you have concealed in your heart; I know that this ²  is with you: ³ 

Because ¹  you have closed their ²  minds to understanding, therefore you will not exalt them. ³ 

His flesh wastes away from sight, and his bones, which were not seen, are easily visible. ¹ 

Yes, your servant finds moral guidance there; ¹  those who obey them receive a rich reward. ² 

I did not harm them, but they hid a net to catch me and dug a pit to trap me. ¹ 

How long, O Lord, will this last? Will you remain hidden forever? ¹  Will your anger continue to burn like fire?

You are aware of our sins; ¹  you even know about our hidden sins. ² 

for the Lord will be ¹  the source of your confidence, ²  and he will guard your foot ³  from being caught in a trap. ⁴ 

The one who goes about slandering others ¹  reveals ²  secrets, but the one who is trustworthy ³  conceals a matter.

The human spirit ¹  is like ²  the lamp ³  of the Lord, searching all his innermost parts. ⁴ 

According to their uncleanness and rebellion I have dealt with them, and I hid my face from them.
