The next day the large crowd that had come to the feast heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem. ¹ 

My Father is honored ¹  by this, that ²  you bear ³  much fruit and show that you are ⁴  my disciples.

For ¹  John baptized with water, but you ²  will be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.”

Reverential awe ¹  came over everyone, ²  and many wonders and miraculous signs ³  came about by the apostles.

But many of those who had listened to ¹  the message ²  believed, and the number of the men ³  came to about five thousand.

The ¹  hand of the Lord was with them, and a great number who believed ²  turned ³  to the Lord.

Both Judas and Silas, who were prophets themselves, encouraged and strengthened the brothers with a long speech. ¹ 

After they had beaten them severely, ¹  they threw them into prison and commanded ²  the jailer to guard them securely.

Therefore many of them believed, along with quite a few ¹  prominent ²  Greek women and men.

After he had gone through those regions ¹  and spoken many words of encouragement ²  to the believers there, ³  he came to Greece, ⁴ 

Of course, ¹  I myself was convinced ²  that it was necessary to do many things hostile to the name of Jesus the Nazarene.

They also bestowed many honors, ¹  and when we were preparing to sail, ²  they gave ³  us all the supplies we needed. ⁴ 

Much more then, because we have now been declared righteous ¹  by his blood, ²  we will be saved through him from God’s wrath. ³ 

For just as in one body we have many members, and not all the members serve the same function,

so we who are many are one body in Christ, and individually we are members who belong to one another.

Because there is one bread, we who are many are one body, for we all share the one bread.

For if there was glory in the ministry that produced condemnation, ¹  how much more does the ministry that produces righteousness ²  excel ³  in glory!

But as God’s servants, ¹  we have commended ourselves in every way, ²  with great endurance, in persecutions, ³  in difficulties, in distresses,

as sorrowful, but always rejoicing, as poor, but making many rich, as having nothing, and yet possessing everything.

begging us with great earnestness for the blessing and fellowship of helping ¹  the saints.
