For when the priesthood changes, a change in the law must come ¹  as well.

So Pharaoh asked his officials, “Can we find a man like Joseph, ¹  one in whom the Spirit of God is present?” ² 

warn ¹  them of the statutes and the laws, and make known to them the way in which they must walk ²  and the work they must do. ³ 

and told Moses, “The people are bringing much more than ¹  is needed for the completion ²  of the work which the Lord commanded us to do!” ³ 

And they are responsible for all the furnishings of the tent of meeting, and for the needs of the Israelites, as they serve ¹  in the tabernacle.

You will be responsible for the care of the sanctuary and the care of the altar, so that there will be ¹  no more wrath on the Israelites.

Samson said to them, “Because you did this, ¹  I will get revenge against you before I quit fighting.” ² 

“When these signs have taken place, do whatever your hand finds to do, for God will be with you. ¹ 

He built temples ¹  on the high places and appointed as priests people who were not Levites.

They would spend the night in their posts all around God’s sanctuary, ¹  for they were assigned to guard it and would open it with the key every morning.

Joining them were Heman, Jeduthun, and the rest of those chosen and designated by name to give thanks to the Lord. (For his loyal love endures!) ¹ 

“Now, my son, may the Lord be with you! May you succeed and build a temple for the Lord your God, just as he announced you would. ¹ 

They made disbursements to the priests listed in the genealogical records by their families, and to the Levites twenty years old and up, according to their duties as assigned to their divisions,

Slaughter the Passover lambs, consecrate yourselves, and make preparations for your countrymen to do what the Lord commanded through Moses.” ¹ 

I gave myself to the work on this wall, without even purchasing ¹  a field. All my associates were gathered there for the work.

So I purified them of everything foreign, and I assigned specific ¹  duties to the priests and the Levites.

For you say, ‘Where now is the nobleman’s house, ¹  and where are the tents in which the wicked lived?’ ² 

And surely, he drew you ¹  from the mouth of distress, to a wide place, unrestricted, ²  and to the comfort ³  of your table filled with rich food. ⁴ 

Deceitful people will not live in my palace. ¹  Liars will not be welcome in my presence. ² 

The one who works ¹  his field will have plenty ²  of food, but whoever chases daydreams ³  lacks wisdom. ⁴
