And we proclaim to you the good news about the promise to our ancestors, ¹ 

“Therefore I conclude ¹  that we should not cause extra difficulty ²  for those among the Gentiles ³  who are turning to God,

But Paul called out loudly, ¹  “Do not harm yourself, ²  for we are all here!”

and provide mounts for Paul to ride ¹  so that he may be brought safely to Felix ²  the governor.” ³ 

But they are justified ¹  freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.

For if Abraham was declared righteous ¹  by the works of the law, he has something to boast about – but not before God.

Not ¹  only this, but we also rejoice in sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance,

For we know that the whole creation groans and suffers together until now.

As it is written, “For your sake we encounter death all day long; we were considered as sheep to be slaughtered.” ¹ 

So then, ¹  God ²  has mercy on whom he chooses to have mercy, and he hardens whom he chooses to harden. ³ 

Do you not know that we will judge angels? Why not ordinary matters!

For if only in this life we have hope in Christ, we should be pitied more than anyone.

Listen, ¹  I will tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, ²  but we will all be changed –

so that we may not be exploited ¹  by Satan (for we are not ignorant of his schemes).

Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is present, ¹  there is freedom.

Therefore, since we have this ministry, just as God has shown us mercy, ¹  we do not become discouraged. ² 

But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled only to those who are perishing,

For we do not proclaim ¹  ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your slaves ²  for Jesus’ sake.

For in this earthly house ¹  we groan, because we desire to put on ²  our heavenly dwelling,

We do not give anyone ¹  an occasion for taking an offense in anything, ²  so that no fault may be found with our ministry.
