Be careful during an outbreak of leprosy to follow precisely ¹  all that the Levitical priests instruct you; as I have commanded them, so you should do.

Elisha sent out a messenger who told him, “Go and wash seven times in the Jordan; your skin will be restored ¹  and you will be healed.”

So he went down and dipped in the Jordan seven times, as the prophet had instructed. ¹  His skin became as smooth as a young child’s ²  and he was healed.

so the priest is to examine the raw flesh ¹  and pronounce him unclean ²  – it is diseased.

he is a diseased man. He is unclean. The priest must surely pronounce him unclean because of his infection on his head. ¹ 

“They must spread a blue cloth on the gold altar, and cover it with a covering of fine leather; and they must insert its poles.

Or do you not know that anyone who is united with ¹  a prostitute is one body with her? ²  For it is said, “The two will become one flesh.” ³

The leprosy left him at once, and he was clean.

Uzziah passed away ¹  and was buried near his ancestors ²  in a cemetery ³  belonging to the kings. (This was because he had a skin disease.) ⁴  His son Jotham replaced him as king.

Any creature in the water that does not have both fins and scales is detestable to you.
