the woven garments, the holy garments for Aaron the priest and the garments for his sons, to minister as priests,

the woven garments for serving ¹  in the sanctuary, the holy garments for Aaron the priest, and the garments for his sons to minister as priests.

Then you are to clothe Aaron with the holy garments and anoint him and sanctify him so that he may minister as my priest.

Then the priest must offer them up in smoke on the altar as a food gift for a soothing aroma – all the fat belongs to the Lord.

So the priest will make atonement ¹  on his behalf before the Lord and he will be forgiven ²  for whatever he has done to become guilty.” ³ 

The priest who offers it for sin is to eat it. It must be eaten in a holy place, in the court of the Meeting Tent.

The law is the same for the sin offering and the guilt offering; ¹  it belongs to the priest who makes atonement with it.

so the priest is to examine the raw flesh ¹  and pronounce him unclean ²  – it is diseased.

and in the place of the boil there is a white swelling or a reddish white bright spot, he must show himself to the priest. ¹ 

But if the bright spot stays in its place and has not spread, ¹  it is the scar of the boil, so the priest is to pronounce him clean. ² 

he is a diseased man. He is unclean. The priest must surely pronounce him unclean because of his infection on his head. ¹ 

But if the priest examines it and ¹  the infection has not spread in the garment or in the warp or in the woof or in any article of leather,

“This is the law of the diseased person on the day of his purification, when ¹  he is brought to the priest. ² 

“On the eighth day he must bring them for his purification to the priest at the entrance ¹  of the Meeting Tent before the Lord,

then whoever owns the house ¹  must come and declare to the priest, ‘Something like an infection is visible to me in the house.’

If a daughter of a priest profanes herself by engaging in prostitution, she is profaning her father. She must be burned to death. ¹ 

and he must wave the sheaf before the Lord to be accepted for your benefit ¹  – on the day after the Sabbath the priest is to wave it. ² 

If what is vowed is an unclean animal from which an offering must not be presented to the Lord, then he must stand the animal before the priest,

Now the head of all the Levitical leaders ¹  was Eleazar son of Aaron the priest. He was appointed over those who were responsible ²  for the sanctuary.

“‘Then the priest will write these curses on a scroll and then scrape them off into the bitter water. ¹
