For the king knows about these things, and I am speaking freely ¹  to him, ²  because I cannot believe ³  that any of these things has escaped his notice, ⁴  for this was not done in a corner. ⁵ 

For those who live according to the flesh have their outlook shaped by ¹  the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit have their outlook shaped by the things of the Spirit.

For they were pleased to do this, and indeed they are indebted to the Jerusalem saints. ¹  For if the Gentiles have shared in their spiritual things, they are obligated also to minister to them in material things.

But just as it is written, “Things that no eye has seen, or ear heard, or mind imagined, ¹  are the things God has prepared for those who love him.” ² 

For who among men knows the things of a man except the man’s spirit within him? So too, no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God.

yet for us there is one God, the Father, from whom are all things and for whom we live, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things and through whom we live. ¹ 

envying, ¹  murder, ²  drunkenness, carousing, ³  and similar things. I am warning you, as I had warned you before: Those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God!

Brothers and sisters, ¹  I do not consider myself to have attained this. Instead I am single-minded: ²  Forgetting the things that are behind and reaching out for the things that are ahead,

Now ¹  the woman was dressed in purple and scarlet clothing, ²  and adorned with gold, ³  precious stones, and pearls. She held ⁴  in her hand a golden cup filled with detestable things and unclean things from her sexual immorality. ⁵ 

But above all pursue his kingdom ¹  and righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

Jesus spoke all these things in parables to the crowds; he did not speak to them without a parable.

These are the things that defile a person; it is not eating with unwashed hands that defiles a person.” ¹ 

Jesus ¹  looked at them and replied, “This is impossible for mere humans, ²  but for God all things are possible.”

So also you, when you see all these things, know ¹  that he is near, right at the door.

I tell you the truth, ¹  this generation ²  will not pass away until all these things take place.

Now some of the experts in the law ¹  were sitting there, turning these things over in their minds: ² 

Then Jesus said to him, “‘If you are able?’ ¹  All things are possible for the one who believes.”

So also you, when you see these things happening, know ¹  that he is near, right at the door.

I tell you the truth, ¹  this generation ²  will not pass away until all these things take place.

Now ¹  many have undertaken to compile an account ²  of the things ³  that have been fulfilled ⁴  among us,
