I tell you the truth, ¹  this generation ²  will not pass away until all these things take place.

John’s ¹  disciples informed him about all these things. So ²  John called ³  two of his disciples

“Take these words to heart, ¹  for the Son of Man is going to be betrayed into the hands of men.” ² 

One of the experts in religious law ¹  answered him, “Teacher, when you say these things you insult ²  us too.”

For all the nations of the world pursue ¹  these things, and your Father knows that you need them.

Then ¹  Jesus said to them, “Neither will I tell you ²  by whose authority ³  I do these things.”

But when these things ¹  begin to happen, stand up and raise your heads, because your redemption ²  is drawing near.”

So also you, when you see these things happening, know ¹  that the kingdom of God ²  is near.

I tell you the truth, ¹  this generation ²  will not pass away until all these things take place.

and when they returned from the tomb they told all these things to the eleven ¹  and to all the rest.

Wasn’t ¹  it necessary ²  for the Christ ³  to suffer these things and enter into his glory?”

While they were saying these things, Jesus ¹  himself stood among them and said to them, “Peace be with you.” ² 

So then the Jewish leaders ¹  responded, ²  “What sign can you show us, since you are doing these things?” ³ 

Jesus answered, ¹  “Are you the teacher of Israel and yet you don’t understand these things? ² 

Then many of his disciples, when they heard these things, ¹  said, “This is a difficult ²  saying! ³  Who can understand it?” ⁴ 

When they heard these words, some of the crowd ¹  began to say, “This really ²  is the Prophet!” ³ 

So these approached Philip, ¹  who was from Bethsaida in Galilee, and requested, ²  “Sir, we would like to see Jesus.”

Jesus replied, ¹  “You do not understand ²  what I am doing now, but you will understand ³  after these things.”

I have told you these things ¹  so that my joy may be in you, and your joy may be complete.

Jesus replied, ¹  “I told you that I am he. If you are looking for ²  me, let these men ³  go.” ⁴
