During the night Jacob quickly took ¹  his two wives, his two female servants, and his eleven sons ²  and crossed the ford of the Jabbok. ³ 

Jacob looked up ¹  and saw that Esau was coming ²  along with four hundred men. So he divided the children among Leah, Rachel, and the two female servants.

He put the servants and their children in front, with Leah and her children behind them, and Rachel and Joseph behind them. ¹ 

One day ¹  he went into the house to do his work when none of the household servants ²  were there in the house.

Pharaoh was enraged with his servants, and he put me in prison in the house of the captain of the guards – me and the chief baker.

They answered him, “Why does my lord say such things? ¹  Far be it from your servants to do such a thing! ² 

But you said to your servants, ‘If your youngest brother does not come down with you, you will not see my face again.’

Pharaoh said to Joseph’s ¹  brothers, “What is your occupation?” They said to Pharaoh, “Your servants take care of flocks, just as our ancestors did.” ² 

The frogs will depart from you, your houses, your servants, and your people; they will be left only in the Nile.”

and the Lord did as Moses asked ¹  – he removed the swarms of flies from Pharaoh, from his servants, and from his people. Not one remained!

but those ¹  who did not take ²  the word of the Lord seriously left their servants and their cattle ³  in the field.

When Pharaoh saw ¹  that the rain and hail and thunder ceased, he sinned again: ²  both he and his servants hardened ³  their hearts.

Since they are my servants whom I brought out from the land of Egypt, they must not be sold in a slave sale. ¹ 

and said to him, ¹  “Your servants have taken a count ²  of the men who were in the battle, who were under our authority, ³  and not one is missing.

but your servants will cross over, every man armed for war, to do battle in the Lord’s presence, just as my lord says.”

Moses proclaimed to all Israel as follows: “You have seen all that the Lord did ¹  in the land of Egypt to Pharaoh, all his servants, and his land.

He did ¹  all the signs and wonders the Lord had sent him to do in the land of Egypt, to Pharaoh, all his servants, and the whole land,

The Ephraimites ¹  did not conquer the Canaanites living in Gezer. The Canaanites live among the Ephraimites to this very day and do hard labor as their servants.

She said, “You really are being kind to me, ¹  sir, ²  for you have reassured ³  and encouraged ⁴  me, your servant, ⁵  even though I am ⁶  not one of your servants!” ⁷
