Before they could lie down to sleep, ¹  all the men – both young and old, from every part of the city of Sodom – surrounded the house. ² 

So Sarah became pregnant ¹  and bore Abraham a son in his old age at the appointed time that God had told him.

My master’s wife Sarah bore a son to him ¹  when she was old, ²  and my master ³  has given him everything he owns.

When Isaac was forty years old, he married Rebekah, ¹  the daughter of Bethuel the Aramean from Paddan Aram and sister of Laban the Aramean. ²

Everyone who crosses over to those numbered, from twenty years old and up, is to pay an offering to the Lord.

Then tell the Israelites: ‘Take a male goat ¹  for a sin offering and a calf and lamb, both a year old and flawless, ²  for a burnt offering,

If the person is from sixty years old and older, if he is a male the conversion value is fifteen shekels, and for the female ten shekels.

You and Aaron are to number ¹  all in Israel who can serve in the army, ²  those who are ³  twenty years old or older, ⁴  by their divisions. ⁵ 

All the Israelites who were twenty years old or older, who could serve in Israel’s army, were numbered ¹  according to their families.

“Number the Levites by their clans ¹  and their families; every male from a month old and upward you are to number.” ² 

Counting every male from a month old and upward, there were 8,600. They were responsible for the care ¹  of the sanctuary.

Then the Lord said to Moses, “Number all the firstborn males of the Israelites from a month old and upward, and take ¹  the number of their names.

And all the firstborn males, by the number of the names from a month old and upward, totaled 22,273.

“Take a census of the whole community of Israelites, from twenty years old and upward, by their clans, ¹  everyone who can serve in the army of Israel.” ² 

“Number the people ¹  from twenty years old and upward, just as the Lord commanded Moses and the Israelites who went out from the land of Egypt.”

But you must offer as the burnt offering, as a sweet aroma to the Lord, two young bulls, one ram, seven lambs one year old,
