Suppose a man marries a woman, has sexual relations with her, ¹  and then rejects ²  her,

Then make sure you don’t speak evil words ¹  or use deceptive speech! ² 

For we lie in the dirt, with our bellies pressed to the ground. ¹ 

You do damage with words, ¹  and use your tongue to deceive. ² 

But they deceived him with their words, ¹  and lied to him. ² 

a false witness who pours out lies, ¹  and a person who spreads discord ²  among family members. ³ 

Bread gained by deceit ¹  tastes sweet to a person, ²  but afterward his mouth will be filled with gravel. ³

Those who worship ¹  worthless idols ²  forfeit the mercy that could be theirs. ³ 

And many false prophets will appear and deceive ¹  many,

So ¹  when the devil ²  had completed every temptation, he departed from him until a more opportune time. ³
