He picked out for us a special land ¹  to be a source of pride for ²  Jacob, ³  whom he loves. ⁴  (Selah)

‘I will give you an eternal dynasty ¹  and establish your throne throughout future generations.’” ²  (Selah)

I will appoint him to be my firstborn son, ¹  the most exalted of the earth’s kings.

The Lord abhors ¹  the way of the wicked, but he loves those ²  who pursue ³  righteousness.

A servant ¹  cannot be corrected ²  by words, for although ³  he understands, there is no answer. ⁴ 

They pronounce the guilty innocent for a payoff, they ignore the just cause of the innocent. ¹ 

For ¹  he has raised up ²  a horn of salvation ³  for us in the house of his servant David, ⁴ 

No one has greater love than this – that one lays down his life ¹  for his friends.

For just as it is written, “the name of God is being blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you.” ¹ 

But God demonstrates his own love for us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

For I can testify that they are zealous for God, ¹  but their zeal is not in line with the truth. ² 

But God will judge those outside. Remove the evil person from among you. ¹ 

If we sowed spiritual blessings among you, is it too much to reap material things from you?

So I do not run uncertainly or box like one who hits only air.

But when Cephas ¹  came to Antioch, ²  I opposed him to his face, because he had clearly done wrong. ³ 

If we live by the Spirit, let us also behave in accordance with ¹  the Spirit.

Remember Jesus Christ, raised from the dead, a descendant of David; ¹  such is my gospel, ² 

So communicate these things with the sort of exhortation or rebuke ¹  that carries full authority. ²  Don’t let anyone look down ³  on you.

So, although I have quite a lot of confidence in Christ and could command you to do what is proper,
