I have many things to write to you, but I do not wish to write to you with ¹  pen and ink. ² 

Therefore, because of the account found in this letter and what they had faced in this regard and what had happened to them, the Jews established as binding on themselves, their descendants, and all who joined their company that they should observe these two days without fail, just as written and at the appropriate time on an annual basis.

Just as we obeyed ¹  Moses, so we will obey you. But ²  may the Lord your God be with you as he was with Moses!

When Samuel came to him, ¹  Saul said to him, “May the Lord bless you! I have done what the Lord said.”

Then they will place their confidence in God. They will not forget the works of God, and they will obey ¹  his commands.

Yes, ¹  the descendants of Jonadab son of Rechab have carried out the orders that their ancestor gave them. But you people ²  have not obeyed me!

Then King Darius wrote to all the peoples, nations, and language groups who were living in all the land: “Peace and prosperity! ¹ 

As it is written in Isaiah the prophet, ¹  “Look, I am sending my messenger ahead of you, who will prepare your way, ² 

When they had accomplished ¹  everything that was written ²  about him, they took him down ³  from the cross ⁴  and placed him ⁵  in a tomb.

Do we then nullify ¹  the law through faith? Absolutely not! Instead ²  we uphold the law.

Then, when I arrive, I will send those whom you approve with letters of explanation to carry your gift to Jerusalem. ¹ 

For we do not write you anything other than what ¹  you can read and also understand. But I hope that you will understand completely ² 

I wish I could be with you now and change my tone of voice, ¹  because I am perplexed about you.
