Your children ¹  will be blessed, as well as the produce of your soil, the offspring of your livestock, the calves of your herds, and the lambs of your flocks.

This is the blessing Moses the man of God pronounced upon the Israelites before his death.

Bless, O Lord, his goods, and be pleased with his efforts; undercut the legs ¹  of any who attack him, and of those who hate him, so that they cannot stand.

Of Joseph he said: May the Lord bless his land with the harvest produced by the sky, ¹  by the dew, and by the depths crouching beneath;

Of Gad he said: Blessed be the one who enlarges Gad. Like a lioness he will dwell; he will tear at an arm – indeed, a scalp. ¹ 

Of Asher he said: Asher is blessed with children, may he be favored by his brothers and may he dip his foot in olive oil. ¹ 

Joshua asked God to empower Caleb son of Jephunneh and assigned him Hebron. ¹ 

Manoah’s wife ¹  gave birth to a son and named him Samson. ²  The child grew and the Lord empowered ³  him.

Just when he had finished offering the burnt offering, Samuel appeared on the scene. Saul went out to meet him and to greet him. ¹ 

Then David said to Abigail, “Praised ¹  be the Lord, the God of Israel, who has sent you this day to meet me!

When David finished offering the burnt sacrifices and peace offerings, he pronounced a blessing over the people in the name of the Lord of hosts.

But King Solomon will be empowered ¹  and David’s dynasty ²  will endure permanently before the Lord.”

When he stood up, he pronounced a blessing over the entire assembly of Israel, saying in a loud voice:

When David finished offering burnt sacrifices and peace offerings, he pronounced a blessing over the people in the Lord’s name.

Then all the people returned to their homes, and David went to pronounce a blessing on his family. ¹ 

the sixth Ammiel, the seventh Issachar, and the eighth Peullethai. (Indeed, God blessed Obed-Edom.)

When Hezekiah and the officials came and saw the heaps, they praised the Lord and pronounced blessings on his people Israel. ¹ 

Then ¹  his wife said to him, “Are you still holding firmly to your integrity? ²  Curse ³  God, and die!” ⁴ 

Certainly ¹  you reward ²  the godly, ³  Lord. Like a shield you protect ⁴  them ⁵  in your good favor. ⁶ 

Yes, ¹  the wicked man ²  boasts because he gets what he wants; ³  the one who robs others ⁴  curses ⁵  and ⁶  rejects the Lord. ⁷
