Now ¹  when Jesus ²  had left the crowd and entered the house, his disciples asked him about the parable.

And Jesus ¹  ordered them, ²  “Watch out! Beware of the yeast of the Pharisees ³  and the yeast of Herod!”

Then ¹  Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan River ²  and was led by the Spirit ³  in ⁴  the wilderness, ⁵ 

Give to everyone who asks you, ¹  and do not ask for your possessions ²  back ³  from the person who takes them away.

Now ¹  a woman was there who had been suffering from a hemorrhage ²  for twelve years ³  but could not be healed by anyone.

Now on ¹  the next day, when they had come down from the mountain, a large crowd met him.

For from now on ¹  there will be five in one household divided, three against two and two against three.

Then ¹  the rich man ²  said, ‘No, father Abraham, but if someone from the dead ³  goes to them, they will repent.’

but on the day Lot went out from Sodom, fire and sulfur rained down from heaven and destroyed them all. ¹ 

But ¹  some of the Pharisees ²  in the crowd said to him, “Teacher, rebuke your disciples.” ³ 

People will be fainting from fear ¹  and from the expectation of what is coming on the world, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. ² 

But from now on ¹  the Son of Man will be seated at the right hand ²  of the power ³  of God.”

Then ¹  they said, “Why do we need further testimony? We have heard it ourselves ²  from his own lips!” ³ 

and when they returned from the tomb they told all these things to the eleven ¹  and to all the rest.

And while they still could not believe it ¹  (because of their joy) and were amazed, ²  he said to them, “Do you have anything here to eat?” ³ 

and repentance ¹  for the forgiveness of sins would be proclaimed ²  in his name to all nations, ³  beginning from Jerusalem. ⁴ 

Now a certain man named Lazarus was sick. He was from Bethany, the village where Mary and her sister Martha lived. ¹ 

Jesus replied, ¹  “Are you saying this on your own initiative, ²  or have others told you about me?”

After ¹  he had said this, while they were watching, he was lifted up and a cloud hid him from their sight.

Then they returned to Jerusalem ¹  from the mountain ²  called the Mount of Olives ³  (which is near Jerusalem, a Sabbath day’s journey ⁴  away).
