I am no longer worthy to be called your son; treat me ¹  like one of your hired workers.”’

But it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one tiny stroke of a letter ¹  in the law to become void. ² 

Then one of them, when he saw he was healed, turned back, praising ¹  God with a loud voice.

There will be two women grinding grain together; ¹  one will be taken and the other left.” ² 

“Two men went up ¹  to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee ²  and the other a tax collector. ³ 

Jesus ¹  said to him, “Why do you call me good? ²  No one is good except God alone.

One of the criminals who was hanging there railed at him, saying, “Aren’t ¹  you the Christ? ²  Save yourself and us!”

Now on the first day ¹  of the week, at early dawn, the women ²  went to the tomb, taking the aromatic spices ³  they had prepared.

(Now he said this about Judas son of Simon Iscariot, ¹  for Judas, ²  one of the twelve, was going to betray him.) ³ 

Nicodemus, who had gone to Jesus ¹  before and who was one of the rulers, ²  said, ³ 

and not for the Jewish nation ¹  only, ²  but to gather together ³  into one the children of God who are scattered.) ⁴ 

But Judas Iscariot, one of his disciples (the one who was going to betray him) ¹  said,

(Now it was Caiaphas who had advised ¹  the Jewish leaders ²  that it was to their advantage that one man die for the people.) ³ 

But one of the soldiers pierced ¹  his side with a spear, and blood and water ²  flowed out immediately.

Now Thomas (called Didymus), ¹  one of the twelve, was not with them when Jesus came.

Then they prayed, ¹  “Lord, you know the hearts of all. Show us which one of these two you have chosen

And tongues spreading out like a fire ¹  appeared to them and came to rest on each one of them.

Therefore be alert, ¹  remembering that night and day for three years I did not stop warning ²  each one of you with tears.

From there we cast off ¹  and arrived at Rhegium, ²  and after one day a south wind sprang up ³  and on the second day we came to Puteoli. ⁴ 

All have turned away, together they have become worthless; there is no one who shows kindness, not even one.” ¹
