The priest ¹  is to present it before the Lord and make atonement ²  on her behalf, and she will be clean ³  from her flow of blood. ⁴  This is the law of the one who bears a child, for the male or the female child.

But the garment or the warp or the woof or any article of leather which you wash and infection disappears from it ¹  is to be washed a second time and it will be clean.”

You must not expose the nakedness of your mother’s sister and your father’s sister, for such a person has laid bare his own close relative. ¹  They must bear their punishment for iniquity. ² 

or his uncle or his cousin ¹  may redeem him, or anyone of the rest of his blood relatives – his family ²  – may redeem him, or if ³  he prospers he may redeem himself.

But you must not turn away from all the commandments I am giving ¹  you today, to either the right or left, nor pursue other gods and worship ²  them.

The watchman reported, “He reached them, but hasn’t started back. The one who drives the lead chariot drives like Jehu son of Nimshi; ¹  he drives recklessly.”

Sow your seed in the morning, and do not stop working ¹  until the evening; ²  for you do not know which activity ³  will succeed ⁴  – whether this one or that one, or whether both will prosper equally. ⁵ 

The width of the entrance was 17½ feet, ¹  and the sides ²  of the entrance were 8¾ feet ³  on each side. He measured the length of the outer sanctuary as 70 feet, ⁴  and its width as 35 feet. ⁵ 

even before they were born or had done anything good or bad (so that God’s purpose in election ¹  would stand, not by works but by ²  his calling) ³  –

You are to make two cherubim ¹  of gold; you are to make them of hammered metal on the two ends of the atonement lid.

One must not take either lower or upper millstones as security on a loan, for that is like taking a life itself as security. ¹ 

The foundation was made of large valuable stones, measuring either 15 feet or 12 feet. ¹ 

“It is all one! ¹  That is why I say, ²  ‘He destroys the blameless and the guilty.’

“But ¹  if I speak, my pain is not relieved, ²  and if I refrain from speaking – how ³  much of it goes away?

Whether it is for punishment ¹  for his land, or whether it is for mercy, he causes it to find its mark. ² 

Certainly a man cannot rescue his brother; ¹  he cannot pay God an adequate ransom price ² 

With all my heart I seek you. Do not allow me to stray from your commands!

Death and life are in the power ¹  of the tongue, ²  and those who love its use ³  will eat its fruit.

Fear the Lord, my child, ¹  as well as the king, and do not associate ²  with rebels, ³
