Those who are wise ¹  store up ²  knowledge, but foolish speech ³  leads to imminent ⁴  destruction.

The delight of kings ¹  is righteous counsel, ²  and they love the one who speaks ³  uprightly. ⁴ 

Pleasant words are like ¹  a honeycomb, ²  sweet to the soul and healing ³  to the bones.

There is gold, and an abundance of rubies, but ¹  words of knowledge ²  are like ³  a precious jewel.

Your eyes will see strange things, ¹  and your mind will speak perverse things.

But the one who prophesies speaks to people for their strengthening, ¹  encouragement, and consolation.

I say this so that no one will deceive you through arguments ¹  that sound reasonable. ² 

encourage your hearts and strengthen you ¹  in every good thing you do or say. ² 

But Moses replied to ¹  the Lord, “If the Israelites did not listen to me, then ²  how will Pharaoh listen to me, since ³  I speak with difficulty?” ⁴ 

The Lord says, ¹  “Listen, ²  nation of Israel! ³  I am about to bring a nation from far away to attack you. It will be a nation that was founded long ago and has lasted for a long time. It will be a nation whose language you will not know. Its people will speak words that you will not be able to understand.

But he denied it again. A short time later the bystanders again said to Peter, “You must be ¹  one of them, because you are also a Galilean.”

On the first day ¹  of the week, when we met ²  to break bread, Paul began to speak ³  to the people, and because he intended ⁴  to leave the next day, he extended ⁵  his message until midnight.

For we all stumble ¹  in many ways. If someone does not stumble ²  in what he says, ³  he is a perfect individual, ⁴  able to control the entire body as well.

Then he uttered this oracle: “O, who will survive when God does this! ¹ 

Are God’s consolations ¹  too trivial for you; ²  or a word spoken ³  in gentleness to you?

Tell us what we should ¹  say to him. We cannot prepare a case ²  because of the darkness.

They ¹  sharpen their tongues like a sword; they aim their arrow, a slanderous charge, ² 

at the head of the noisy ¹  streets she calls, in the entrances of the gates in the city ²  she utters her words: ³ 

if ¹  you have been ensnared ²  by the words you have uttered, ³  and have been caught by the words you have spoken,

Blessings ¹  are on the head of the righteous, but the speech ²  of the wicked conceals ³  violence. ⁴
