Now ¹  they wanted to arrest him (but they feared the crowd), because they realized that he told this parable against them. So ²  they left him and went away. ³ 

Then ¹  Jesus ²  told this parable: “A man had a fig tree ³  planted in his vineyard, and he came looking for fruit on it and found none.

Then when the sailors tried to escape from the ship and were lowering the ship’s boat into the sea, pretending ¹  that they were going to put out anchors from the bow,

But if while seeking to be justified in Christ we ourselves have also been found to be sinners, is Christ then one who encourages ¹  sin? Absolutely not!

He then set the breastpiece ¹  on him and put the Urim and Thummim ²  into the breastpiece.

He did evil because he was not determined to follow the Lord. ¹ 

The king responded, ¹  “What is it you are seeking?” Then I quickly prayed to the God of heaven

May his children ¹  roam around begging, asking for handouts as they leave their ruined home! ² 

My eyes grow tired as I wait for your deliverance, ¹  for your reliable promise to be fulfilled. ² 

Then those officials who had gone to the king ¹  came by collusion and found Daniel praying and asking for help before his God.

“Ask ¹  and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door ²  will be opened for you.

For everyone who asks ¹  receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.

They wanted to arrest him, but they were afraid of the crowds, because the crowds ¹  regarded him as a prophet.

The ¹  whole crowd was trying to touch him, because power ²  was coming out from him and healing them all.

For all the nations of the world pursue ¹  these things, and your Father knows that you need them.

So ¹  Judas ²  agreed and began looking for an opportunity to betray Jesus ³  when no crowd was present. ⁴ 

Then some of the residents of Jerusalem ¹  began to say, “Isn’t this the man ²  they are trying ³  to kill?

I am not trying to get ¹  praise for myself. ²  There is one who demands ³  it, and he also judges. ⁴ 

While Peter was still thinking seriously about ¹  the vision, the Spirit said to him, “Look! Three men are looking for you.

eternal life to those who by perseverance in good works seek glory and honor and immortality,
