Moses inspected ¹  all the work – and ²  they had done it just as the Lord had commanded – they had done it exactly – and Moses blessed them. ³ 

And he set up the courtyard around the tabernacle and the altar, and put the curtain at the gate of the courtyard. So Moses finished the work.

You must present a gift to the Lord for seven days, and the seventh day is a holy assembly; you must not do any regular work.’”

You must not do any work on this particular day, ¹  because it is a day of atonement to make atonement for yourselves ²  before the Lord your God.

As for any person ¹  who does any work on this particular day, I will exterminate ²  that person from the midst of his people! ³ 

You must not do any work. This is a perpetual statute throughout your generations ¹  in all the places where you live.

and Aaron is to offer ¹  the Levites before the Lord as a wave offering from the Israelites, that they may do the work ²  of the Lord.

“After this, the Levites will go in ¹  to do the work ²  of the tent of meeting. So you must cleanse them ³  and offer them like a wave offering. ⁴ 

“‘On the tenth day of this seventh month you are to have a holy assembly. You must humble yourselves; ¹  you must not do any work on it.

As for the Rock, ¹  his work is perfect, for all his ways are just. He is a reliable God who is never unjust, he is fair ²  and upright.

Hiram also made basins, shovels, and bowls. He ¹  finished all the work on the Lord’s temple he had been assigned by King Solomon. ² 

Solomon did not assign Israelites to these work crews; ¹  the Israelites served as his soldiers, attendants, officers, charioteers, and commanders of his chariot forces. ² 

These men were also in charge of Solomon’s work projects; there were a total of 550 men who supervised the workers. ¹
