So Moses numbered them according to the word ¹  of the Lord, just as he had been commanded. ²

Are God’s consolations ¹  too trivial for you; ²  or a word spoken ³  in gentleness to you?

He sent them an assuring word ¹  and healed them; he rescued them from the pits where they were trapped. ² 

Then I will have a reply for the one who insults me, ¹  for I trust in your word.

Your loyal followers will be glad when they see me, ¹  for I find hope in your word.

נ (Nun) Your word ¹  is a lamp to walk by, and a light to illumine my path. ² 

I rely on ¹  the Lord, I rely on him with my whole being; ²  I wait for his assuring word. ³ 

Certainly ¹  my tongue does not frame a word without you, O Lord, being thoroughly aware of it. ² 

Anxiety ¹  in a person’s heart ²  weighs him down, ³  but an encouraging ⁴  word brings him joy. ⁵ 

A person has joy ¹  in giving an appropriate answer, ²  and a word at the right time ³  – how good it is!

Every word of God is purified; ¹  he is like ²  a shield for those who take refuge in him. ³
