While they are still beginning to flower ¹  and not ripe for cutting, ²  they can wither away ³  faster ⁴  than any grass! ⁵ 

And life ¹  will be brighter ²  than the noonday; though there be darkness, ³  it will be like the morning.

The gray-haired ¹  and the aged are on our side, ²  men far older than your father. ³ 

Of coral and jasper no mention will be made; the price ¹  of wisdom is more than pearls. ² 

Now in this, you are not right – I answer you, ¹  for God is greater than a human being. ² 

The little bit that a godly man owns is better than the wealth of many evil men, ¹ 

Sprinkle me ¹  with water ²  and I will be pure; ³  wash me ⁴  and I will be whiter than snow. ⁵ 

Therefore they have more than enough food to eat, and even suck up the water of the sea. ¹ 

a God who is honored ¹  in the great angelic assembly, ²  and more awesome than ³  all who surround him?

For the Lord is great and certainly worthy of praise; he is more awesome than all gods. ¹ 

The law you have revealed is more important to me than thousands of pieces of gold and silver. ¹ 

O Israel, hope in the Lord, for the Lord exhibits loyal love, ¹  and is more than willing to deliver. ² 

She is more precious than rubies, and none of the things ¹  you desire ²  can compare ³  with her. ⁴ 

For the lips ¹  of the adulterous woman drip honey, and her seductive words ²  are smoother than olive oil,

One person is generous ¹  and yet grows more wealthy, ²  but another withholds more than he should ³  and comes to poverty. ⁴ 

Better a meal of vegetables where there is love ¹  than a fattened ox where there is hatred. ² 

It is better to be lowly in spirit ¹  with the afflicted than to share the spoils ²  with the proud.

Better is a dry crust of bread ¹  where there is quietness ²  than a house full of feasting with strife. ³ 

A rebuke makes a greater impression on ¹  a discerning person than a hundred blows on a fool. ² 

What is desirable ¹  for a person is to show loyal love, ²  and a poor person is better than a liar. ³
