Granted! ¹  They were broken off because of their unbelief, but you stand by faith. Do not be arrogant, but fear!

And he came and preached peace to you who were far off and peace to those who were near,

But now, put off all such things ¹  as anger, rage, malice, slander, abusive language from your mouth.

Do not lie to one another since you have put off the old man with its practices

But while he was still alive, Abraham gave gifts to the sons of his concubines ¹  and sent them off to the east, away from his son Isaac. ² 

Early in the morning the men made a treaty with each other. ¹  Isaac sent them off; they separated on good terms. ² 

You will live by your sword but you will serve your brother. When you grow restless, you will tear off his yoke from your neck.” ¹ 

“We can’t,” they said, “until all the flocks are gathered and the stone is rolled off the mouth of the well. Then we water ¹  the sheep.”

God ¹  said, “Do not approach any closer! ²  Take your sandals off your feet, for the place where you are standing is holy ³  ground.” ⁴ 

“If you encounter ¹  your enemy’s ox or donkey wandering off, you must by all means return ²  it to him.

Whoever makes perfume like it and whoever puts any of it on someone not a priest ¹  will be cut off ²  from his people.’”

So Aaron said to them, “Break off the gold earrings that are on the ears of your wives, your sons, and your daughters, and bring them to me.” ¹ 

Then he must take off his clothes and put on other clothes, and he must bring the fatty ashes outside the camp to a ceremonially ¹  clean place,

The person who eats meat from the peace offering sacrifice which belongs to the Lord while his uncleanness persists ¹  will be cut off from his people. ² 

If anyone eats fat from the animal from which he presents a gift to the Lord, that person will be cut off from his people. ¹ 

“‘If ¹  she becomes clean from her discharge, then she is to count off for herself seven days, and afterward she will be clean.

“Aaron must then enter ¹  the Meeting Tent and take off the linen garments which he had put on when he entered the sanctuary, and leave them there.

but does not bring it to the entrance of the Meeting Tent to offer it ¹  to the Lord – that person will be cut off from his people. ² 

For if anyone does any of these abominations, the persons who do them will be cut off from the midst of their people. ¹ 

You must not present to the Lord something with testicles that are bruised, crushed, torn, or cut off; ¹  you must not do this in your land.
