“‘On the tenth day of this seventh month you are to have a holy assembly. You must humble yourselves; ¹  you must not do any work on it.

The people went up from the Jordan on the tenth day of the first month ¹  and camped in Gilgal on the eastern border of Jericho. ² 

So the Israelites camped in Gilgal and celebrated the Passover in the evening of the fourteenth day of the month on the plains of Jericho. ¹ 

Solomon had twelve district governors appointed throughout Israel who acquired supplies for the king and his palace. Each was responsible for one month in the year.

In the month Ziv ¹  of the fourth year of Solomon’s reign ²  the foundation was laid for the Lord’s temple.

Shallum son of Jabesh became king in the thirty-ninth year of King Uzziah’s ¹  reign over Judah. He reigned for one month ²  in Samaria.

By the ninth day of the fourth month ¹  the famine in the city was so severe the residents ²  had no food.

They crossed the Jordan River ¹  in the first month, ²  when it was overflowing its banks, and routed those living in all the valleys to the east and west. ³ 

Jashobeam son of Zabdiel was in charge of the first division, which was assigned the first month. His division consisted of 24,000 men.

Dodai the Ahohite was in charge of the division assigned the second month; Mikloth was the next in rank. ¹  His division consisted of 24,000 men.

The fourth, assigned the fourth month, was Asahel, brother of Joab; his son Zebadiah succeeded him. ¹  His division consisted of 24,000 men.

The sixth, assigned the sixth month, was Ira son of Ikkesh the Tekoite. His division consisted of 24,000 men.

The twelfth, assigned the twelfth month, was Heldai the Netophathite, a descendant of Othniel. His division consisted of 24,000 men.

In the first month of the first year of his reign, he opened the doors of the Lord’s temple and repaired them.

Josiah observed a Passover festival for the Lord in Jerusalem. ¹  They slaughtered the Passover lambs on the fourteenth day of the first month.

They finished this temple on the third day of the month Adar, which is the sixth ¹  year of the reign of King Darius.

¹ These are the words of Nehemiah ²  son of Hacaliah: It so happened that in the month of Kislev, in the twentieth year, ³  I was in Susa ⁴  the citadel.

They discovered written in the law that the LORD had commanded through ¹  Moses that the Israelites should live in temporary shelters during the festival of the seventh month,

On the twenty-fourth day of this same month the Israelites assembled; they were fasting and wearing sackcloth, their heads covered with dust.

From one month ¹  to the next and from one Sabbath to the next, all people ²  will come to worship me,” ³  says the Lord.
