though it never saw the light of day ¹  nor knew anything, ²  yet it has more rest ³  than that man –

Wisdom, like ¹  an inheritance, is a good thing; it benefits those who see the light of day. ² 

he reveals deep and hidden things. He knows what is in the darkness, and light resides with him.

And he was transfigured before them. ¹  His ²  face shone like the sun, and his clothes became white as light.

For nothing is hidden except to be revealed, ¹  and nothing concealed except to be brought to light.

“But in those days, after that suffering, ¹  the sun will be darkened and the moon will not give its light;

He came as a witness ¹  to testify ²  about the light, so that everyone ³  might believe through him.

As ¹  I was en route and near Damascus, ²  about noon a very bright ³  light from heaven ⁴  suddenly flashed ⁵  around me.

For our momentary, light suffering ¹  is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison

giving thanks to the Father who has qualified you to share ¹  in the saints’ ²  inheritance in the light.

The one who says he is in the light but still hates ¹  his fellow Christian ²  is still in the darkness.

The one who loves his fellow Christian ¹  resides in the light, and there is no cause for stumbling in him. ² 

The nations ¹  will walk by its light and the kings of the earth will bring their grandeur ²  into it.

and let them serve as lights in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth.” It was so.

to preside over the day and the night, and to separate the light from the darkness. ¹  God saw that it was good.

No one ¹  could see ²  another person, and no one could rise from his place for three days. But the Israelites had light in the places where they lived.

“You are to make its seven lamps, ¹  and then set ²  its lamps up on it, so that it will give light ³  to the area in front of it.

“You are to command the Israelites that they bring ¹  to you pure oil of pressed olives for the light, so that the lamps ²  will burn ³  regularly. ⁴ 

“Command the Israelites to bring ¹  to you pure oil of beaten olives for the light, to make a lamp burn continually. ² 

“Speak to Aaron and tell him, ‘When you set up ¹  the lamps, the seven lamps are to give light ²  in front of the lampstand.’”
