The disciples replied, ¹  “Rabbi, the Jewish leaders ²  were just now trying ³  to stone you to death! Are ⁴  you going there again?”

And I know that his commandment is eternal life. ¹  Thus the things I say, I say just as the Father has told me.” ² 

“I give you a new commandment – to love ¹  one another. Just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. ² 

but I am doing just what the Father commanded me, so that the world may know ¹  that I love the Father. ²  Get up, let us go from here.” ³ 

If you obey ¹  my commandments, you will remain ²  in my love, just as I have obeyed ³  my Father’s commandments and remain ⁴  in his love.

just as you have given him authority over all humanity, ¹  so that he may give eternal life to everyone you have given him. ² 

The glory ¹  you gave to me I have given to them, that they may be one just as we are one –

So Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. Just as the Father has sent me, I also send you.”

“No one can withhold the water for these people to be baptized, who have received the Holy Spirit just as we did, ¹  can he?” ² 

Then as I began to speak, the Holy Spirit fell on ¹  them just as he did ²  on us at the beginning. ³ 

And God, who knows the heart, ¹  has testified ²  to them by giving them the Holy Spirit just as he did to us, ³ 

Therefore keep up your courage, men, for I have faith in God ¹  that it will be just as I have been told.

For the righteousness ¹  of God is revealed in the gospel ²  from faith to faith, ³  just as it is written, “The righteous by faith will live.” ⁴ 

And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God, ¹  God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what should not be done. ² 

So then, just as sin entered the world through one man and death through sin, and so death spread to all people ¹  because ²  all sinned –

Consequently, ¹  just as condemnation ²  for all people ³  came ⁴  through one transgression, ⁵  so too through the one righteous act ⁶  came righteousness leading to life ⁷  for all people.

For just as through the disobedience of the one man ¹  many ²  were made sinners, so also through the obedience of one man ³  many ⁴  will be made righteous.

so that just as sin reigned in death, so also grace will reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Just ¹  as Isaiah predicted, “If the Lord of armies ²  had not left us descendants, we would have become like Sodom, and we would have resembled Gomorrah.” ³ 

For even Christ did not please himself, but just as it is written, “The insults of those who insult you have fallen on me.” ¹
