After throwing him into convulsions, the unclean spirit cried out with a loud voice and came out of him.

Now ¹  a great windstorm ²  developed and the waves were breaking into the boat, so that the boat was nearly swamped.

Then he went up with them into the boat, and the wind ceased. They were completely astonished,

Then, ¹  after he went into the house, his disciples asked him privately, “Why couldn’t we cast it out?”

Then ¹  Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve, went to the chief priests to betray Jesus into their hands. ² 

He said to them, “It is one of the twelve, one who dips his hand ¹  with me into the bowl. ² 

Stay awake and pray that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

In those days ¹  Mary got up and went hurriedly into the hill country, to a town of Judah, ² 

He ¹  went into all the region around the Jordan River, ²  preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins. ³ 

“Take these words to heart, ¹  for the Son of Man is going to be betrayed into the hands of men.” ² 

But whenever ¹  you enter a town ²  and the people ³  do not welcome ⁴  you, go into its streets ⁵  and say,

(for I have five brothers) to warn ¹  them so that they don’t come ²  into this place of torment.’

When he came to the place, ¹  he said to them, “Pray that you will not fall into temptation.” ² 

So ¹  he said to them, “Why are you sleeping? Get up and pray that you will not fall into temptation!” ² 

(This ¹  was a man who had been thrown into prison for an insurrection ²  started in the city, and for murder.) ³ 

Wasn’t ¹  it necessary ²  for the Christ ³  to suffer these things and enter into his glory?”

No one ¹  has ascended ²  into heaven except the one who descended from heaven – the Son of Man. ³ 

After this, ¹  Jesus and his disciples came into Judean territory, and there he spent time with them and was baptizing.

Then the woman left her water jar, went off into the town and said to the people, ¹ 

Jesus said to them, “I tell you the solemn truth, ¹  before Abraham came into existence, ²  I am!” ³
