Here then is what the Lord who rules over all says: ‘Think carefully about what you are doing. ¹ 

They ¹  cried out, “Son of God, leave us alone! ²  Have you come here to torment us before the time?” ³ 

Instructed by her mother, she said, “Give me the head of John the Baptist here on a platter.”

Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ ¹  or ‘There he is!’ do not believe him.

But at midnight there was a shout, ‘Look, the bridegroom is here! Come out to meet him.’ ¹ 

Then ¹  if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ ²  or ‘Look, there he is!’ do not believe him.

Then ¹  they went to a place called Gethsemane, and Jesus ²  said to his disciples, “Sit here while I pray.”

He said to them, “My soul is deeply grieved, even to the point of death. Remain here and stay alert.”

because a friend of mine has stopped here while on a journey, ¹  and I have nothing to set before ²  him.’

nor will they say, ‘Look, here it is!’ or ‘There!’ For indeed, the kingdom of God is ¹  in your midst.” ² 

He is not here, but has been raised! ¹  Remember how he told you, while he was still in Galilee, ² 

and here he has authority from the chief priests to imprison ¹  all who call on your name!” ² 

For you have brought these men here who are neither temple robbers ¹  nor blasphemers of our goddess. ² 

Or these men here ¹  should tell what crime ²  they found me guilty of ³  when I stood before the council, ⁴ 

And now I stand here on trial ¹  because of my hope in the promise made by God to our ancestors, ² 

The latter do so from love because they know that I am placed here for the defense of the gospel.

For there is no one here like him who will readily demonstrate his deep concern for you. ¹ 

For here is the testimony about him: ¹  “You are a priest forever in the order of Melchizedek.” ² 

‘What right do you have to be here? What relatives do you have buried here? ¹  Why ²  do you chisel out a tomb for yourself here? He chisels out his burial site in an elevated place, he carves out his tomb on a cliff.

Why did you say, ‘She is my sister,’ so that I took her ¹  to be my wife? ²  Here is your wife! ³  Take her and go!” ⁴
