Soon ¹  afterward ²  Jesus ³  went to a town ⁴  called Nain, and his disciples and a large crowd went with him.

Then ¹  Jesus ²  turned ³  to his ⁴  disciples and said privately, “Blessed ⁵  are the eyes that see what you see!

Jesus ¹  said to his disciples, “Stumbling blocks are sure to come, but woe ²  to the one through whom they come!

When ¹  he got up from prayer, he came to the disciples and found them sleeping, exhausted ²  from grief.

Andrew, the brother of Simon Peter, was one of the two disciples who heard what John said ¹  and followed Jesus. ² 

After this, ¹  Jesus and his disciples came into Judean territory, and there he spent time with them and was baptizing.

Now a dispute came about between some of John’s disciples and a certain Jew ¹  concerning ceremonial washing. ² 

Now when Jesus ¹  knew that the Pharisees ²  had heard that he ³  was winning ⁴  and baptizing more disciples than John

So the disciples began to say ¹  to one another, “No one brought him anything ²  to eat, did they?” ³ 

Then many of his disciples, when they heard these things, ¹  said, “This is a difficult ²  saying! ³  Who can understand it?” ⁴ 

So Thomas (called Didymus ¹ ) ²  said to his fellow disciples, “Let us go too, so that we may die with him.” ³ 

The disciples began to look at one another, worried and perplexed ¹  to know which of them he was talking about.

Everyone ¹  will know by this that you are my disciples – if you have love for one another.”

My Father is honored ¹  by this, that ²  you bear ³  much fruit and show that you are ⁴  my disciples.

Now Jesus performed ¹  many other miraculous signs in the presence of the ²  disciples, which are not recorded ³  in this book. ⁴ 

This was now the third time Jesus was revealed to the disciples after he was raised from the dead.

Meanwhile Saul, still breathing out threats ¹  to murder ²  the Lord’s disciples, went to the high priest

and after taking some food, his strength returned. For several days ¹  he was with the disciples in Damascus,

So the disciples, each in accordance with his financial ability, ¹  decided ²  to send relief ³  to the brothers living in Judea.

While ¹  Apollos was in Corinth, ²  Paul went through the inland ³  regions ⁴  and came to Ephesus. ⁵  He ⁶  found some disciples there ⁷
