and Josiah ¹  the father of Jeconiah and his brothers, at the time of the deportation to Babylon.

¹  Someone ²  told him, “Look, your mother and your brothers are standing outside wanting ³  to speak to you.”

To the one who had said this, Jesus ¹  replied, ²  “Who is my mother and who are my brothers?”

But you are not to be called ‘Rabbi,’ for you have one Teacher and you are all brothers.

Then ¹  Jesus’ ²  mother and his brothers ³  came. Standing ⁴  outside, they sent word to him, to summon him.

For John had repeatedly told ¹  Herod, “It is not lawful for you to have your brother’s wife.” ² 

Now Jesus’ ¹  mother and his brothers ²  came to him, but ³  they could not get near him because of the crowd.

(for I have five brothers) to warn ¹  them so that they don’t come ²  into this place of torment.’

When the brothers found out about this, they brought him down to Caesarea ¹  and sent him away to Tarsus.

So the disciples, each in accordance with his financial ability, ¹  decided ²  to send relief ³  to the brothers living in Judea.

Therefore let it be known to you, brothers, that through this one ¹  forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you,

But the Jews who refused to believe ¹  stirred up the Gentiles and poisoned their minds ²  against the brothers.

Both Judas and Silas, who were prophets themselves, encouraged and strengthened the brothers with a long speech. ¹ 

but Paul chose Silas and set out, commended ¹  to the grace of the Lord by the brothers and sisters. ² 

Then the brothers sent Paul away to the coast ¹  at once, but Silas and Timothy remained in Berea. ² 

So then, ¹  brothers and sisters, ²  we are under obligation, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh

If you sin against your brothers or sisters ¹  in this way and wound their weak conscience, you sin against Christ.

So then, brothers and sisters, ¹  be eager to prophesy, and do not forbid anyone from speaking in tongues. ² 

Now we make known to you, brothers and sisters, ¹  the grace of God given to the churches of Macedonia,

Now ¹  I want you to know, brothers and sisters, ²  that the gospel I preached is not of human origin. ³
