Then Moses recited the words of this song from start to finish in the hearing of the whole assembly of Israel.

Your attendants, who stand before you at all times and hear your wise sayings, are truly happy! ¹

He says: ¹  “Listen my people! I am speaking! Listen Israel! I am accusing you! ²  I am God, your God!

Praise the Lord, you angels of his, you powerful warriors who carry out his decrees and obey his orders! ¹ 

Turn aside from the way, stray off the path. ¹  Remove from our presence the Holy One of Israel.” ² 

Do not listen to them, ¹  because their prophecies are lies. ²  Listening to them will only cause you ³  to be taken far away from your native land. I will drive you out of your country and you will die in exile. ⁴ 

Therefore I will act with fury! My eye will not pity them nor will I spare ¹  them. When they have shouted in my ears, I will not listen to them.”

“‘You said, “These two nations, these two lands ¹  will be mine, and we will possess them,” ²  – although the Lord was there –

For whoever has will be given more, and will have an abundance. But whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him. ¹ 

For whoever has will be given more, but ¹  whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him.” ² 

Then ¹  a cloud ²  overshadowed them, ³  and a voice came from the cloud, “This is my one dear Son. ⁴  Listen to him!” ⁵ 

He will come and destroy ¹  those tenants and give the vineyard to others.” ²  When the people ³  heard this, they said, “May this never happen!” ⁴ 

Jesus answered, “I tell you the solemn truth, ¹  unless a person is born of water and spirit, ²  he cannot enter the kingdom of God.

The one who belongs to ¹  God listens and responds ²  to God’s words. You don’t listen and respond, ³  because you don’t belong to God.” ⁴ 

The crowd that stood there and heard the voice ¹  said that it had thundered. Others said that an angel had spoken to him. ² 

Why do you ask me? Ask those who heard what I said. ¹  They ²  know what I said.”

Now when they heard this, ¹  they were acutely distressed ²  and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “What should we do, brothers?”

So when the crowds saw what Paul had done, they shouted ¹  in the Lycaonian language, ²  “The gods have come down to us in human form!” ³ 

The whole group kept quiet ¹  and listened to Barnabas and Paul while they explained all the miraculous signs ²  and wonders God had done among the Gentiles through them.
