Each one of you should give ¹  just as he has decided in his heart, ²  not reluctantly ³  or under compulsion, ⁴  because God loves a cheerful giver.

For if the inheritance is based on the law, it is no longer based on the promise, but God graciously gave ¹  it to Abraham through the promise.

Do not be deceived. God will not be made a fool. ¹  For a person ²  will reap what he sows,

But God, being rich in mercy, because of his great love with which he loved us,

Instead, ¹  be kind to one another, compassionate, forgiving one another, just as God in Christ also forgave you. ² 

As a result God exalted him and gave him the name that is above every name,

for the one bringing forth in you both the desire and the effort – for the sake of his good pleasure – is God.

Therefore let those of us who are “perfect” embrace this point of view. ¹  If you think otherwise, God will reveal to you the error of your ways. ² 

And my God will supply your every need according to his glorious riches ¹  in Christ Jesus.

You are witnesses, and so is God, as to how holy and righteous and blameless our conduct was toward you who believe.

For God did not destine us for wrath ¹  but for gaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Consequently ¹  God sends on them a deluding influence ²  so that they will believe what is false.

For God did not give us a Spirit ¹  of fear but of power and love and self-control.

correcting ¹  opponents with gentleness. Perhaps God will grant them repentance and then knowledge of the truth ² 

Now when God made his promise to Abraham, since he could swear by no one greater, he swore by himself,

For he was looking forward to the city with firm foundations, ¹  whose architect and builder is God.

and he reasoned ¹  that God could even raise him from the dead, and in a sense ²  he received him back from there.

Endure your suffering ¹  as discipline; ²  God is treating you as sons. For what son is there that a father does not discipline?

Marriage must be honored among all and the marriage bed kept undefiled, for God will judge sexually immoral people and adulterers.

And do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, ¹  for God is pleased with such sacrifices.
