For ¹  neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for ²  anything; the only thing that matters is a new creation! ³ 

For this reason do not be foolish, but be wise ¹  by understanding ²  what the Lord’s will is.

For we have brought nothing into this world and so ¹  we cannot take a single thing out either.

Now if he has defrauded you of anything or owes you anything, charge what he owes ¹  to me.

For God had provided something better for us, so that they would be made perfect together with us. ¹ 

For that person must not suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord,

For what does it benefit a person ¹  if he gains the whole world but forfeits his life? Or what can a person give in exchange for his life?

Then ¹  Jesus ²  said to his ³  disciples, “Therefore I tell you, do not worry ⁴  about your ⁵  life, what you will eat, or about your ⁶  body, what you will wear.

Now at that very moment his disciples came back. ¹  They were shocked ²  because he was speaking ³  with a woman. However, no one said, “What do you want?” ⁴  or “Why are you speaking with her?”

When Peter saw this, he declared to the people, “Men of Israel, ¹  why are you amazed at this? Why ²  do you stare at us as if we had made this man ³  walk by our own power or piety?

But I have nothing definite ¹  to write to my lord ²  about him. ³  Therefore I have brought him before you all, and especially before you, King Agrippa, ⁴  so that after this preliminary hearing ⁵  I may have something to write.

But when you do your giving, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing,

When Jesus saw their reaction he said, “Why do you respond with evil in your hearts?

Which is easier, ¹  to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven’ or to say, ‘Stand up and walk’?

He ¹  said to them, “Haven’t you read what David did when he and his companions were hungry –

If ¹  you had known what this means: ‘I want mercy and not sacrifice,’ ²  you would not have condemned the innocent.
