Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away. ¹ 

Then ¹  he said to them, “What are these matters ²  you are discussing so intently ³  as you walk along?” And they stood still, looking sad.

For in this instance the saying is true, ¹  ‘One sows and another reaps.’

When they heard these words, some of the crowd ¹  began to say, “This really ²  is the Prophet!” ³ 

Why don’t you understand what I am saying? It is because you cannot accept ¹  my teaching. ² 

Now this happened ¹  to fulfill the word that is written in their law, ‘They hated me without reason.’ ² 

“I am not praying ¹  only on their behalf, but also on behalf of those who believe ²  in me through their testimony, ³ 

He said this ¹  to fulfill the word he had spoken, ²  “I have not lost a single one of those whom you gave me.” ³ 

(This happened ¹  to fulfill the word Jesus had spoken when he indicated ²  what kind of death he was going to die. ³ )

I wrote ¹  the former ²  account, ³  Theophilus, ⁴  about all that Jesus began to do and teach

So those who accepted ¹  his message ²  were baptized, and that day about three thousand people ³  were added. ⁴ 

But many of those who had listened to ¹  the message ²  believed, and the number of the men ³  came to about five thousand.

So Moses was trained ¹  in all the wisdom of the Egyptians and was powerful ²  in his words and deeds.

You know ¹  the message ²  he sent to the people ³  of Israel, proclaiming the good news of peace ⁴  through ⁵  Jesus Christ ⁶  (he is Lord ⁷  of all) –

On the next Sabbath almost the whole city assembled together to hear the word of the Lord. ¹ 

They began to call ¹  Barnabas Zeus ²  and Paul Hermes, ³  because he was the chief speaker.

Both Judas and Silas, who were prophets themselves, encouraged and strengthened the brothers with a long speech. ¹ 

Then ¹  they spoke the word of the Lord ²  to him, along with all those who were in his house.

After he had gone through those regions ¹  and spoken many words of encouragement ²  to the believers there, ³  he came to Greece, ⁴ 

It is not as though the word of God had failed. For not all those who are descended from Israel are truly Israel, ¹
