And the others ¹  who became priests were numerous, because death prevented them ²  from continuing in office, ³ 

I am also aware ¹  that you have persisted steadfastly, ²  endured much for the sake of my name, and have not grown weary.

but your father has humiliated ¹  me and changed my wages ten times. But God has not permitted him to do me any harm.

You didn’t even allow me to kiss my daughters and my grandchildren ¹  good-bye. You have acted foolishly!
