And you, Capernaum, ¹  will you be exalted to heaven? ²  No, you will be thrown down to Hades! ³  For if the miracles done among you had been done in Sodom, it would have continued to this day.

“Men of Israel, ¹  listen to these words: Jesus the Nazarene, a man clearly attested to you by God with powerful deeds, ²  wonders, and miraculous signs ³  that God performed among you through him, just as you yourselves know –

saying, “What should we do with these men? For it is plain ¹  to all who live in Jerusalem that a notable miraculous sign ²  has come about through them, ³  and we cannot deny it.

So they stayed there ¹  for a considerable time, speaking out courageously for the Lord, who testified ²  to the message ³  of his grace, granting miraculous signs ⁴  and wonders to be performed through their hands.

As for the Izharites: Kenaniah and his sons were given responsibilities outside the temple ¹  as officers and judges over Israel.

They will come and tell about his saving deeds; ¹  they will tell a future generation what he has accomplished. ² 

I will remember the works of the Lord. Yes, I will remember the amazing things you did long ago! ¹ 

Where are your earlier faithful deeds, ¹  O Lord, ²  the ones performed in accordance with your reliable oath to David? ³ 

Recall the miraculous deeds he performed, his mighty acts and the judgments he decreed, ¹ 

O Lord, you make us secure, ¹  for even all we have accomplished, you have done for us. ² 

When you performed awesome deeds that took us by surprise, ¹  you came down, and the mountains trembled ²  before you.

But on Herod’s birthday, the daughter of Herodias danced before them and pleased Herod,

But Jesus said, “Leave her alone. Why are you bothering her? She has done a good service for me.

He has demonstrated power ¹  with his arm; he has scattered those whose pride wells up from the sheer arrogance ²  of their hearts.

Now when Jesus ¹  knew that the Pharisees ²  had heard that he ³  was winning ⁴  and baptizing more disciples than John

Now Stephen, full of grace and power, was performing great wonders and miraculous signs ¹  among the people.

And they paid close attention to him because he had amazed them for a long time with his magic.

So with these things prepared like this, the priests enter continually into the outer tent ¹  as they perform their duties.

Through faith they conquered kingdoms, administered justice, ¹  gained what was promised, ²  shut the mouths of lions,

For the Lord our God took us and our fathers out of slavery ¹  in the land of Egypt ²  and performed these awesome miracles ³  before our very eyes. He continually protected us as we traveled and when we passed through nations. ⁴
