“The Sea” stood on top of twelve bulls. Three faced northward, three westward, three southward, and three eastward. “The Sea” was placed on top of them, and they all faced outward. ¹ 

You split the sea before them, and they crossed through ¹  the sea on dry ground! But you threw their pursuers ²  into the depths, like a stone into surging ³  waters.

Our ancestors in Egypt failed to appreciate your miraculous deeds, they failed to remember your many acts of loyal love, and they rebelled at the sea, by the Red Sea. ¹ 

Be ashamed, O Sidon, for the sea ¹  says this, O fortress of the sea: “I have not gone into labor or given birth; I have not raised young men or brought up young women.” ² 

Did you not dry up the sea, the waters of the great deep? Did you not make ¹  a path through the depths of the sea, so those delivered from bondage ²  could cross over?

He said to me, “These waters go out toward the eastern region and flow down into the Arabah; when they enter the Dead Sea, ¹  where the sea is stagnant, ²  the waters become fresh. ³ 

People ¹  will stagger from sea to sea, ²  and from the north around to the east. They will wander about looking for a revelation from ³  the Lord, but they will not find any. ⁴ 

He said to them, “Pick me up and throw me into the sea to make the sea quiet down, ¹  because I know it’s my fault you are in this severe storm.”

Moreover, on that day living waters will flow out from Jerusalem, ¹  half of them to the eastern sea ²  and half of them to the western sea; ³  it will happen both in summer and in winter.

As ¹  he was walking by the Sea of Galilee he saw two brothers, Simon (called Peter) and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea (for they were fishermen). ² 

Next, ¹  the second angel ²  poured out his bowl on the sea and it turned into blood, like that of a corpse, and every living creature that was in the sea died.

But ¹  you blew with your breath, and ²  the sea covered them. They sank ³  like lead in the mighty waters.

There the border will turn from Azmon to the Brook of Egypt, and then its direction is to the sea. ¹ 

“‘And for a western border ¹  you will have the Great Sea. ²  This will be your western border.

“‘And this will be your northern border: From the Great Sea you will draw a line to Mount Hor;

But as for you, ¹  turn back and head for the desert by the way to the Red Sea.” ² 

The western border was the Mediterranean Sea. ¹  These were the borders of the tribe of Judah and its clans. ² 

When they left ¹  Egypt, Israel traveled ²  through the desert as far as the Red Sea and then came to Kadesh.

“You saw the affliction of our ancestors in Egypt, and you heard their cry at the Red Sea. ¹ 

But because it is heavier ¹  than the sand ²  of the sea, that is why my words have been wild. ³
