The rain fell, the flood came, and the winds beat against that house, and it collapsed; it was utterly destroyed!” ¹ 

Then ¹  an expert in the law ²  came to him and said, “Teacher, I will follow you wherever you go.” ³ 

After getting into a boat he crossed to the other side and came to his own town. ¹ 

And as he sowed, some seeds ¹  fell along the path, and the birds came and devoured them.

But when the sun came up, they were scorched, and because they did not have sufficient root, they withered.

But while everyone was sleeping, an enemy came and sowed weeds ¹  among the wheat and went away.

Then John’s ¹  disciples came and took the body and buried it and went and told Jesus.

So he said, “Come.” Peter got out of the boat, walked on the water, and came toward Jesus.

Now when the Pharisees ¹  and Sadducees ²  came to test Jesus, ³  they asked him to show them a sign from heaven. ⁴ 

Then ¹  Jesus rebuked ²  the demon and it came out of him, and the boy was healed from that moment.

Then the disciples came ¹  to Jesus privately and said, “Why couldn’t we cast it out?”

At that time the disciples came to Jesus saying, “Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?”

Now ¹  someone came up to him and said, “Teacher, what good thing must I do to gain eternal life?”

When those hired about five o’clock came, each received a full day’s pay. ¹ 

And when those hired first came, they thought they would receive more. But each one also received the standard wage.

Now ¹  when they approached Jerusalem ²  and came to Bethphage, ³  at the Mount of Olives, ⁴  Jesus sent two disciples,

(They ¹  came out of the tombs after his resurrection and went into the holy city and appeared to many people.)

But ¹  Jesus met them, saying, “Greetings!” They ²  came to him, held on to his feet and worshiped him.

telling them, “You are to say, ‘His disciples came at night and stole his body ¹  while we were asleep.’

Then Jesus came up and said to them, ¹  “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.
