And he said to him, “I will give you all these things if you throw yourself to the ground and worship ¹  me.”

And the four living creatures were saying “Amen,” and the elders threw themselves to the ground ¹  and worshiped.

When all the Israelites saw the fire come down and the Lord’s splendor over the temple, they got on their knees with their faces downward toward the pavement. They worshiped and gave thanks to the Lord, saying, ¹  “Certainly he is good; certainly his loyal love endures!”

The Lord’s shout bends ¹  the large trees ²  and strips ³  the leaves from the forests. ⁴  Everyone in his temple says, “Majestic!” ⁵ 

Do not strike them dead suddenly, because then my people might forget the lesson. ¹  Use your power to make them homeless vagabonds and then bring them down, O Lord who shields us! ²

All who worship idols are ashamed, those who boast about worthless idols. All the gods bow down before him. ¹ 

And a leper ¹  approached, and bowed low before him, saying, ²  “Lord, if ³  you are willing, you can make me clean.”

Then his fellow slave threw himself down and begged him, ¹  ‘Be patient with me, and I will repay you.’

But ¹  Jesus met them, saying, “Greetings!” They ²  came to him, held on to his feet and worshiped him.

But what was the divine response ¹  to him? “I have kept for myself seven thousand people ²  who have not bent the knee to Baal.” ³ 

And you are proud! ¹  Shouldn’t you have been deeply sorrowful instead and removed the one who did this ²  from among you?
