“‘See how each of the princes of Israel living within you has used his authority to shed blood. ¹ 

The leaders ¹  of Sidon ²  and Arvad ³  were your rowers; your skilled ⁴  men, O Tyre, were your captains.

You were blameless in your behavior ¹  from the day you were created, until sin was discovered in you.

for the Lord your God, who is present among you, is a jealous God and his anger will erupt against you and remove you from the land. ¹ 

The Lord will protect you from all sickness, and you will not experience any of the terrible diseases that you knew in Egypt; instead he will inflict them on all those who hate you.

However, there should not be any poor among you, for the Lord ¹  will surely bless ²  you in the land that he ³  is giving you as an inheritance, ⁴ 

When you make a vow to the Lord your God you must not delay in fulfilling it, for otherwise he ¹  will surely ²  hold you accountable as a sinner. ³ 

how they met you along the way and cut off all your stragglers in the rear of the march when you were exhausted and tired; they were unafraid of God. ¹ 

The Lord will plague you with deadly diseases ¹  until he has completely removed you from the land you are about to possess.

The man among you who is by nature tender and sensitive will turn against his brother, his beloved wife, and his remaining children.

“Take this scroll of the law and place it beside the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God. It will remain there as a witness against you,
