In the morning David wrote a letter to Joab and sent it with Uriah.

When David got up the next morning, the Lord had already spoken ¹  to Gad the prophet, David’s seer:

The ravens would bring him bread and meat each morning and evening, and he would drink from the stream.

For all of them, ¹  the morning is to them like deep darkness; they are friends with the terrors of darkness.

For his anger lasts only a brief moment, and his good favor restores one’s life. ¹  One may experience sorrow during the night, but joy arrives in the morning. ² 

God lives within it, ¹  it cannot be moved. ²  God rescues it ³  at the break of dawn. ⁴ 

Even those living in the most remote areas are awestruck by your acts; ¹  you cause those living in the east and west to praise you. ² 

Each morning I will destroy all the wicked people in the land, and remove all evildoers from the city of the Lord.

If someone blesses ¹  his neighbor with a loud voice early in the morning, ²  it will be counted as a curse to him. ³ 

Those who get up early to drink beer are as good as dead, ¹  those who keep drinking long after dark until they are intoxicated with wine. ² 

The day you begin cultivating, you do what you can to make it grow; ¹  the morning you begin planting, you do what you can to make it sprout. Yet the harvest will disappear ²  in the day of disease and incurable pain.

In the evening there is sudden terror; ¹  by morning they vanish. ²  This is the fate of those who try to plunder us, the destiny of those who try to loot us! ³ 

The watchman replies, “Morning is coming, but then night. ¹  If you want to ask, ask; come back again.” ² 

Lord, be merciful to us! We wait for you. Give us strength each morning! ¹  Deliver us when distress comes. ² 

I cry out ¹  until morning; like a lion he shatters all my bones; you turn day into night and end my life. ² 

He said to me, “To 2,300 evenings and mornings; ¹  then the sanctuary will be put right again.” ² 

Therefore they will disappear like ¹  the morning mist, ²  like early morning dew that evaporates, ³  like chaff that is blown away ⁴  from a threshing floor, like smoke that disappears through an open window.

Her princes ¹  are as fierce as roaring lions; ²  her rulers ³  are as hungry as wolves in the desert, ⁴  who completely devour their prey by morning. ⁵ 

and they received from Moses all the offerings the Israelites had brought to do ¹  the work for the service of the sanctuary, and they still continued to bring him a freewill offering each morning. ² 

but the fire which is on the altar must be kept burning on it. ¹  It must not be extinguished. So the priest must kindle wood on it morning by morning, and he must arrange the burnt offering on it and offer the fat of the peace offering up in smoke on it.
