He was not able to do a miracle there, except to lay his hands on a few sick people and heal them.

Jesus said to him, “Go, your faith has healed you.” Immediately he regained ¹  his sight and followed him on the road.

So the Jewish leaders ¹  said to the man who had been healed, “It is the Sabbath, and you are not permitted to carry your mat.” ² 

if ¹  we are being examined ²  today for a good deed ³  done to a sick man – by what means this man was healed ⁴  –

and then ¹  if he gets up and walks about ²  outside on his staff, then the one who struck him is innocent, except he must pay ³  for the injured person’s ⁴  loss of time ⁵  and see to it that he is fully healed.

So ¹  he healed many who were sick with various diseases and drove out many demons. ²  But ³  he would not permit the demons to speak, ⁴  because they knew him. ⁵ 

As the sun was setting, all those who had any relatives ¹  sick with various diseases brought them to Jesus. ²  He placed ³  his hands on every one of them and healed them.

“If, however, the priest enters ¹  and examines it, and the ²  infection has not spread in the house after the house has been replastered, then the priest is to pronounce the house clean because the infection has been healed.

The Lord will afflict you in your knees and on your legs with painful, incurable boils – from the soles of your feet to the top of your head.

He went out to the spring and threw the salt in. Then he said, “This is what the Lord says, ‘I have purified ¹  this water. It will no longer cause death or fail to produce crops.” ² 

Why must I continually suffer such painful anguish? Why must I endure the sting of their insults like an incurable wound? Will you let me down when I need you like a brook one goes to for water, but that cannot be relied on?” ¹ 

But when the crowds found out, they followed him. He ¹  welcomed them, spoke to them about the kingdom of God, ²  and cured those who needed healing. ³ 

But its swamps and its marshes will not become fresh; they will remain salty.

For she kept saying to herself, ¹  “If only I touch his cloak, I will be healed.” ² 

Then ¹  Jesus rebuked ²  the demon and it came out of him, and the boy was healed from that moment.

But he answered them, “The man who made me well said to me, ‘Pick up your mat ¹  and walk.’”

They replied, “If you are going to send the ark of ¹  the God of Israel back, don’t send it away empty. Be sure to return it with a guilt offering. Then you will be healed, and you will understand why his hand is not removed from you.”

But when Jesus turned and saw her he said, “Have courage, daughter! Your faith has made you well.” ¹  And the woman was healed ²  from that hour.

Immediately the man was healed, ¹  and he picked up his mat ²  and started walking. (Now that day was a Sabbath.) ³ 

Make the hearts of these people calloused; make their ears deaf and their eyes blind! Otherwise they might see with their eyes and hear with their ears, their hearts might understand and they might repent and be healed.” ¹
