I testify to the one who hears the words of the prophecy contained in this book: If anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described ¹  in this book.

When Jesus saw their reaction he said, “Why do you respond with evil in your hearts?

Then Jesus began to criticize openly the cities ¹  in which he had done many of his miracles, because they did not repent.

Other seeds fell among the thorns, ¹  and they grew up and choked them. ² 

When ¹  the chief priests and the Pharisees ²  heard his parables, they realized that he was speaking about them.

So go into the main streets and invite everyone you find to the wedding banquet.’

the voice of one shouting in the wilderness, ‘Prepare the way for the Lord, make ¹  his paths straight.’” ² 

He replied, ¹  “Let us go elsewhere, into the surrounding villages, so that I can preach there too. For that is what I came out here to do.” ² 

So ¹  he went into all of Galilee preaching in their synagogues ²  and casting out demons.

When he was alone, those around him with the twelve asked him about the parables.

He said to them, “Don’t you understand this parable? Then ¹  how will you understand any parable?

Others are the ones sown among thorns: They are those who hear the word,

He was not able to do a miracle there, except to lay his hands on a few sick people and heal them.

Then Jesus ¹  placed his hands on the man’s ²  eyes again. And he opened his eyes, ³  his sight was restored, and he saw everything clearly.

They ¹  devour widows’ property, ²  and as a show make long prayers. These men will receive a more severe punishment.”

After some time ¹  his wife Elizabeth became pregnant, ²  and for five months she kept herself in seclusion. ³  She said, ⁴ 

Simeon ¹  took him in his arms and blessed God, saying, ² 

Then ¹  the devil ²  led him up ³  to a high place ⁴  and showed him in a flash all the kingdoms of the world.

After Jesus ¹  had finished teaching all this to the people, ²  he entered Capernaum. ³ 

But whenever ¹  you enter a town ²  and the people ³  do not welcome ⁴  you, go into its streets ⁵  and say,
