Now when his disciples James and John saw this, they said, “Lord, do you want us to call fire to come down from heaven and consume ¹  them?” ² 

Yet ¹  another said, “I will follow you, Lord, but first let me say goodbye to my family.” ² 

Then ¹  the seventy-two ²  returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons submit to ³  us in your name!” ⁴ 

But the worker ¹  answered him, ‘Sir, leave it alone this year too, until I dig around it and put fertilizer ²  on it.

Then ¹  the disciples ²  said ³  to him, “Where, ⁴  Lord?” He replied to them, “Where the dead body ⁵  is, there the vultures ⁶  will gather.” ⁷ 

Then another ¹  slave ²  came and said, ‘Sir, here is ³  your mina that I put away for safekeeping ⁴  in a piece of cloth. ⁵ 

“Sir,” ¹  the woman ²  said to him, “you have no bucket and the well ³  is deep; where then do you get this ⁴  living water? ⁵ 

The woman said to him, “Sir, give me this water, so that I will not be thirsty or have to come here to draw ¹  water.” ² 

She replied, “No one, Lord.” And Jesus said, “I do not condemn you either. Go, and from now on do not sin any more.”]] ¹ 

She replied, ¹  “Yes, Lord, I believe ²  that you are the Christ, ³  the Son of God who comes into the world.” ⁴ 

Jesus said, “Take away the stone.” ¹  Martha, the sister of the deceased, ²  replied, “Lord, by this time the body will have a bad smell, ³  because he has been buried ⁴  four days.” ⁵ 

So these approached Philip, ¹  who was from Bethsaida in Galilee, and requested, ²  “Sir, we would like to see Jesus.”

so that the word ¹  of Isaiah the prophet would be fulfilled. He said, ²  “Lord, who has believed our message, and to whom has the arm of the Lord ³  been revealed?” ⁴ 

Simon Peter said to him, “Lord, where are you going?” Jesus replied, ¹  “Where I am going, you cannot follow me now, but you will follow later.”

Peter said to him, “Lord, why can’t I follow you now? I will lay down my life for you!” ¹ 

“Lord,” Judas (not Judas Iscariot) ¹  said, ²  “what has happened that you are going to reveal ³  yourself to us and not to the world?”

So when they had gathered together, they began to ask him, ¹  “Lord, is this the time when you are restoring the kingdom to Israel?”

And now, Lord, pay attention to ¹  their threats, and grant ²  to your servants ³  to speak your message ⁴  with great courage, ⁵ 

Then he fell ¹  to his knees and cried out with a loud voice, “Lord, do not hold this sin against them!” ²  When ³  he had said this, he died. ⁴ 

But Ananias replied, ¹  “Lord, I have heard from many people ²  about this man, how much harm he has done to your saints in Jerusalem,
