For ¹  neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for ²  anything; the only thing that matters is a new creation! ³ 

Neither should there be vulgar speech, foolish talk, or coarse jesting – all of which are out of character – but rather thanksgiving.

For this reason do not be foolish, but be wise ¹  by understanding ²  what the Lord’s will is.

And do not get drunk with wine, which ¹  is debauchery, ²  but be filled by the Spirit, ³ 

Instead of being motivated by selfish ambition ¹  or vanity, each of you should, in humility, be moved to treat one another as more important than yourself.

Each of you should be concerned ¹  not only ²  about your own interests, but about the interests of others as well. ³ 

But these assets I have come to regard as liabilities because of Christ.

¹  although we could have imposed our weight as apostles of Christ; instead we became ²  little children ³  among you. Like a nursing mother caring for her own children,

So then we must not sleep as the rest, but must stay alert and sober.

And so ¹  all of them who have not believed the truth but have delighted in evil will be condemned. ² 

For we hear that some among you are living an undisciplined life, ¹  not doing their own work but meddling in the work of others. ² 

Yet do not regard him as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother. ¹ 

Do not address an older man harshly ¹  but appeal to him as a father. Speak to younger men as brothers, ² 

But when he arrived in Rome, ¹  he eagerly searched for me and found me.

And the Lord’s slave ¹  must not engage in heated disputes ²  but be kind toward all, an apt teacher, patient,

For surely his concern is not for angels, but he is concerned for Abraham’s descendants.

who has become a priest not by a legal regulation about physical descent ¹  but by the power of an indestructible life.

But we are not among those who shrink back and thus perish, but are among those who have faith and preserve their souls. ¹ 

But you have come to Mount Zion, the city ¹  of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to myriads of angels, to the assembly

For here we have no lasting city, but we seek the city that is to come.
