Simon Peter answered, ¹  “You are the Christ, ²  the Son of the living God.”

After he said, “From foreigners,” Jesus said to him, “Then the sons ¹  are free.

“The kingdom of heaven can be compared to a king who gave a wedding banquet for his son.

“What do you think about the Christ? ¹  Whose son is he?” They said, “The son of David.” ² 

For just like the days of Noah ¹  were, so the coming of the Son of Man will be.

Therefore you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him. ¹ 

He took with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and became anguished and distressed.

He trusts in God – let God, if he wants to, deliver him now ¹  because he said, ‘I am God’s Son’!”

And a voice came from heaven: “You are my one dear Son; ¹  in you I take great delight.” ² 

Many scolded ¹  him to get him to be quiet, but he shouted all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”

Then everyone ¹  will see the Son of Man arriving in the clouds ²  with great power and glory.

Listen: ¹  You will become pregnant ²  and give birth to ³  a son, and you will name him ⁴  Jesus. ⁵ 

during the high priesthood ¹  of Annas and Caiaphas, the word ²  of God came to John the son of Zechariah in the wilderness. ³ 

So ¹  Jesus, when he began his ministry, ²  was about thirty years old. He was ³  the son (as was supposed) ⁴  of Joseph, the son ⁵  of Heli,

What father among you, if your ¹  son asks for ²  a fish, will give him a snake ³  instead of a fish?

You also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.” ¹ 

I am no longer worthy to be called your son; treat me ¹  like one of your hired workers.”’

Just ¹  as it was ²  in the days of Noah, ³  so too it will be in the days of the Son of Man.

So ¹  Jesus said to them, “The people of this age ²  marry and are given in marriage.

Then ¹  they will see the Son of Man arriving in a cloud ²  with power and great glory.
